Solid and liquid waste processes are an important source of GHG emissions but also an excellent opportunity for productive improvement, efficiency, and value-added products to support community development and economic systems. This includes strategies for source reduction, recycling, and energy conversion that can not only reduce costs, but provide new revenue streams through new products to attract financing and investment. CCS provides critical assessments and modeling of waste system technologies and practices, as well as economic and financial analysis, multi objective program design, and public private implementation mechanisms to support adoption of modern, integrated waste management systems.
