Agriculture
The management of land and production systems for crops, horticulture, livestock, and poultry and aquaculture is both a major source of GHG emissions and a major opportunity for economic, environmental, and resiliency improvement through expanded development and use of modern technologies and practices, such as conservation-based systems that store carbon, reduce high energy inputs, and adjust to changing climate conditions. CCS provides critical assessments of agriculture system technologies and practices for a wide range of geographies and land systems, as well as cost and co-benefits analysis, and multi objective program design, and sector level implementation mechanisms to support adoption of sustainable agricultural systems.
